Location: Lom is a
town in northwestern Bulgaria. It is situated in
Montana Region and is the second largest town in the
Region. The town is stretching along the bank of the
Danube river, where Lom River flows into the Danube
River. It is 162 km north of Sofia, the capital city
of Bugaria, and 56 km southeast of Vidin. The town
is the biggest and majour port in northwestern
Bulgaria. The important role of the port town is
determined by its close location to the capital of
Bulgaria – Sofia.

Lom brewery is the
successor of the beer factory established by the
Czech-brothers Milotin and Hozman in 1894 in the
Danube town of Lom. Lom beer products are produced
by classical technology. The company produces a
range of 11 products under the brands of Almus,
Shoppe Beer, Sofia and Misia. The products of the
brewery won several honors medals at the
International Exhibition "MONDE SELECTION" -
Brussels, Belgium. Lom beer has a Certificate and
statement credit rating BB + (stable trend), awarded
by the Bulgarian Credit Rating Agency.

Port Lom is of
national strategic importance at the crossroads of
two Pan-European Corridor № 4 and № 7, defined by
the European Union for priority development. Besides
the Danube, linking the eastern and most western
European countries, the port is open to transit
goods from Greece and Macedonia. By the
Rhein-Main-Danube route all water from the North Sea
reached Lom. The existing rail network after an
appropriate modernization associated with the port
of Lom Thessaloniki port - a major transport hub in
the Mediterranean.

Bulgarian Metal
Tubes was established in 2005 by a team of
professionals with long-lasting experience in both
production and trading of steel pipes. The facility
has two production lines with monthly capacity of
about 1000 tons each. Nevertheless the factory is
new one, its production program includes already
about 30 size of round, rectangular and square
tubes. The length is from 4000 up to 9000 mm and
thickness from 1.5 mm up to 4.0 mm.

“SILPA” Ltd. was
found in the beginning of 2004 year and it became a
fast developing Bulgarian-Italian Company with
Italian shareholder “KLIMA 2000”. “SILPA” is
situated in city of Lom in area 60 000 m2 . 10 000
m2 of them are workshops with local air-conditioned
system. In the beginning of 2005 part of Italian
production capacity is moved to Bulgaria.
Now “SILPA” Ltd. produces metal sheet stamped products, plastic moulded products for either automotive and air-conditioning industry, and fan-coils with trade mark “KLIMA 2000”. “SILPA” has lines for Powder coating, degreasing, point welding (including with robot). Presses for metal sheet stamping are with power from 70 to 1200 ton. Presses for plastic moulding are from 80 to 600 ton.
“SILPA” has Quality Management system certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949, and Management system for health and security – OHSAS 18001.
